Malaysia recorded a spike of 172 new Covid-19 cases as of 12pm on Monday, bringing the country’s total infections to 7,417.<br /><br />Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said majority of the cases were detected at three immigration detention centres with 112 cases.<br /><br />Thus far overall, 227 positive cases have been detected at the detention centres, involving non-Malaysians<br /><br />Dr Noor Hisham also urged the public not to worry despite the spike.
