'미지의 땅' 비무장지대(DMZ) 문화재 실태 조사한다<br /><br />South Korea is starting a comprehensive research on cultural assets and natural heritage inside the Demilitarized Zone.<br />The Cultural Heritage Administration says it will collaborate with the provincial governments of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do Provinces to begin the year-long survey from Tuesday.<br />A panel consisting of 55 members will look for archaeological relics and flora and fauna in 40 sites and villages,... including the Joint Security Area in the truce village of Panmunjeom.<br />This is Seoul's first step toward turning the area into an international peace zone.<br />
