University of California schools have announced they will no longer require SAT or ACT test scores for admission to their schools.<br />The university school system voted unanimously to gradually eliminate the use of standardized tests for admission.<br />According to HuffPost, the decision could cause a ripple effect at other U.S. universities.<br />University of California schools had already made the SAT and ACT optional for fall 2021 applicants.<br />According to the UC board of regents, the test will be phased out over the next several years.<br />By 2025, all SAT and ACT testing scores are to be eliminated from admissions criteria.
