이재용 검찰 출석…'삼성 합병•승계 의혹' 조사<br /><br />Prosecutors summoned Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong , for questioning in relation to the 2015 merger of two Samsung affiliates.<br />Lee appeared before prosecutors from 8 AM Tuesday, as the merger of Samsung C&T and Cheil Industries was put under scrutiny.<br />There were suspicions that management may have intentionally lowered the value of Samsung C&T to help Lee secure control of the company, as he was the largest shareholder of Cheil Industries.<br />There are also allegations surrounding an what was perceived as an intentional inflation in the value of Cheil Industries ahead of the merger.<br />Samsung earlier said that it has never deliberately manipulated the value of any of its affiliates.<br />
