유엔사, GP 총격사건 "남북 모두 정전협정 위반, 北총격 우발인지 판단못해"<br /><br />The UN Command said the two Koreas both violated the Armistice Agreement when they exchanged gunfire at the Demilitarized Zone on May 3rd.<br />Even after a multinational team investigation, the UNC was unable to determine if the rounds fired by the North were intentional or by mistake... unlike the South Korean military... which sees it as a misfire.<br />It added... South Korea was also in violation by responding.<br />Seoul's defense ministry has expressed regret to the UNC's findings... and reiterated that its military had followed protocol.<br />The ministry said it'll continue to work on alleviating military tensions along the DMZ and carry out the inter-Korean Comprehensive Military Agreement.<br />
