The demolition of Atletico Madrid's old stadium, which the La Liga club called home from 1966 to 2017, is nearly complete.<br /><br />Video filmed on May 26 shows the ruins of the Vicente Calderon Stadium, which had a capacity of more than 50,000 and was located on the banks of the Manzanares in the Arganzuela district of Spain's capital.<br /><br />Calderon was a businessman and president of Atlético Madrid for 20 years.<br /><br />The cost of demolishing Atleti's stadium has reportedly cost tens of millions. The club been in the Wanda Metropolitano since the start of the 2017-18 season.<br /><br />According to reports, a park will be put in the stadium's place.
