대법 "갤노트7 폭발 사태에 삼성전자 손해배상 책임 없어"<br /><br />South Korea's Supreme Court has upheld a lower court's ruling in favor of Samsung Electronics in regards to the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.<br />The court said Thursday that Samsung is not liable to pay compensation for the psychological damage caused by fears the device could burst into flames or even explode.<br />Giving reasons for its verdict, the Supreme Court said Samsung did not act illegally nor did it make an error during the recall process.<br />The Galaxy Note 7 was released in August 2016, but within 5 days, users reported that their phones were exploding.<br />Samsung admitted there was a fault with the device's battery, recalled them and discontinued the line.<br />
