중국, 홍콩보안법 후속 절차 속도 낸다…"이르면 8월 시행"<br /><br />China's controversial new national security bill for Hong Kong could take effect as soon as August.<br />That's according to the Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post today, a day after the bill was approved by China's legislature.<br />The report says the bill could be fast-tracked outside the usual six-month process.<br />The bill would outlaw conduct that China says constitutes treason, secession, sedition and subversion, prompting concerns that Hong Kong's autonomy will disappear.<br />China has faced an international backlash over the bill, including from the U.S.<br />President Trump is set to hold a briefing today during which he's expected to comment on whether the U.S. will maintain Hong Kong's special trading status.<br />
