Curious toddler rescued after getting fingers stuck in plastic holes of laundry basket

A three-year-old girl had to be rescued after getting her fingers stuck in a plastic laundry basket.<br /><br />Nong Nicha was playing with the item at her grandmother's home in Chonburi, eastern Thailand on Thursday morning (May 28).<br /><br />She put two fingers through the plastic holes and it became stuck, swelling more at the toddler panicked.<br /><br />Paramedics arrived and found the girl crying with fear. They patiently started by using pliers and cutters to widen the surrounding plastic holes.<br /><br />While the girl was crying and looking away because she was so scared, the carefully tore through the plastic.<br /><br />Nicha stopped crying instantly as soon as she realised that the plastic that had bonded her finger was gone.<br /><br />The girl's grandmother, Nai, said that the accident had happened because of the child's curiosity. <br /><br />She said: "She's now at the age where everything is interesting and she wants to touch things.<br /><br />''She put her fingers through the hole but they were stuck and we could not pull them out by ourselves so we called the rescue team."
