Rescue worker climbs up the outside of house to catch snake eating a bat

A rescue worker with a head for heights scaled the outside of a building to catch a snake that was eating a bat.<br /><br />The resident living there, Hai Polprasit, 67, called for help when he saw the reptile dangling down from the building devouring the nocturnal creature.<br /><br />A brave rescue worker clambered up the outside of the home to snare the golden tree snake in Trang, southern Thailand on Tuesday night (May 26).<br /><br />GoPro footage from the man's helmet shows the rescuer reaching up to the snake on a gable outside the frightened resident's bedroom.<br /><br />They easily caught 3ft long serpent before carrying it down to the ground below and showing it to the house owner to ease his fears.<br /><br />The rescuer explained that this snake's poison is not so dangerous. He said: "These little snakes like to enter people's houses and find rats, geckos or bats to eat.<br /><br />"However, they are not so dangerous to humans due to their mild venom but it still safer to let the rescue team deal with it them.''<br /><br />The relieved owner said he had been disturbed by snake several times already. <br /><br />He said: "Before this my pet bird went missing and I believe a snake had eaten it, perhaps it is the same one that was caught.''
