Just because a business owner runs a chain restaurant with a household name, it doesn't mean they're immune to the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic.<br />According to Business Insider, franchisees running locations of some of America's most iconic chains are struggling financially, too.<br />Franchisees for Pizza Hut, IHOP, and Subway have already filed for bankruptcy, and experts say not every franchisee is going to be able to stay in business.<br />Troubled owner-operators will be forced to either sell their restaurants back to the corporate office or other franchisees, or file for bankruptcy.<br />Every franchisee is a small business, and they had to close up, and they're sucking wind.
