Chinese firefighters rescue infant trapped in rubbish chute in residential building

Firefighters in northern China rescued an infant trapped in a rubbish chute in a residential building.<br /><br />In the video, shot in the city of Liaoyang in Liaoning Province on June 1, a fireman climbed into the rubbish chute to take out the infant who was trapped in between fourth and fifth floor.<br /><br />According to reports, some residents heard the infant's crying inside the rubbish chute and called the firefighters.<br /><br />Two fire engines and eight firemen arrived on site and found blood on the fifth-floor corridor. They then guessed that the infant was stuck in between the fourth and fifth floor's chute.<br /><br />Luckily the infant was in a plastic bag which was hanging on waste glass.<br /><br />After 20 minutes, the infant was rescued successfully. They were not in life-threatening condition.<br /><br />Police are investigating the case. The video was provided by local media with permission.
