Wildlife technicians rescue a crying baby raccoon that fell down the inside wall of a Markham home, southern Ontario.

Footage from April 2018 shows a wild animal removal service by Gates Wildlife Control, cut out part of the wall to rescue the animal.

Later in the clip, the wildlife technicians successfully reunite the baby raccoon with its mother.

The filmer told Newsflare: "We received an emergency call from a homeowner that had been hearing crying sounds in the attic but had only recently heard crying inside an interior wall.

"This was the result of one baby accidentally falling down a gap at the top of the wall. The gap was too small for the mother to get into and retrieve her baby.

"This baby was very fortunate that the customer called us in a timely manner and we were able to rescue and reunite him with his mother and siblings.

"All babies were relocated to an alternate den site by their mother."
