A mechanic suffered an embarrassing bump when a car bonnet fell onto his head.<br /><br />Somkiat Sripitiwittayanan, 43, was fixing the engine when the hood started slowly slipping at the garage in Pathum Thani, central Thailand on May 30.<br /><br />CCTV footage shows the metal car part crashed down onto the back of his head.<br /><br />Somkiat said he was not seriously injured in the accident. He said repairing a customer's sedan, which was quite old. <br /><br />He said: "It was my fault that I did not check the strength of the bonnet before moving my head near the engine. Luckily I was only slightly hurt."<br /><br />The technician had a red bump behind his head which took several days to subside.
