On Friday, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon sent an email to employees addressing racial injustice and the death of George Floyd. <br />He said the company is committed to making changes to improve racial equity, both internally and externally. <br />McMillon said "Inside the company, our work to recruit, develop and support African Americans and other people of color will be even more of a priority."<br />He also said that Walmart Foundation will pour $100 million dollars, over five years, into a new center dedicated to addressing systemic racism.<br />The center will help advance economic, educational and workforce development opportunities. <br />It will also support criminal justice reform and healthy living, along with addressing issues around the social determinants of health.
