The prehistoric Doll Tor stone circle, near Birchover in the Peak District, has been damaged by campfires.<br /><br />The destruction was found by Sam Grimshaw and has been reported to the local police, Historic England, and the Peak District National Park.<br /><br />Footage from June 3 shows damage caused to the stones, which according to local media, happened "some time" in the previous few days. <br /><br />Historic England is working with Derbyshire Police, the private landowner and the Peak District National Park to investigate the crime.
