A rare species of turtle that was caught by fishermen in southeast India was released back into the wild by forest officials. <br /><br />The reptile, an Indian softshell turtle, was found at the Jambhira Dam in Deuli, Mayurbhanj district, Odisha on June 1 by a group of fishermen. <br /><br />The forest department measured the turtle as weighing more than 30 kg, and released it back into the water with the help of local people.
