북한 "오늘 12시부터 모든 남북통신연락선 차단•폐기"<br /><br />Our starting point this morning.<br />A disappointing and potentially concerning development in terms of inter-Korean relations.<br />We've learned within the past hour that North Korea will cut off all inter-Korean communication lines starting from noon, Korea time,... in around five hours from now.<br />The North's state-run media explained that this includes the communication line via the inter-Korean liaison office as well as the direct line between the North's ruling Workers' Party and the Blue House, the South's presidential office.<br />It added the instruction was given by Kim Yo-jong, the sister of the regime's leader Kim Jong-un,... who stressed that all inter-Korean projects need to be turned against the enemy.<br />This comes just a day after South Korea's defense ministry confirmed the military hotlines between the two Koreas were in normal operation, saying it had calls with the North twice on Monday.<br />
