Coronavirus infections and hospitalizations are skyrocketing in parts of California and the U.S. Southwest.<br />According to Reuters, Arizona has had to reactivate its emergency plan for medical facilities.<br />California has been forced to place it's most populated counties on a watch list.<br />The surge in cases could lead authorities to reimpose public health restrictions in an attempt to slow the spread.<br />Arizona was among the first states to reopen in May and its cases have increased 115%.<br />The U.S. has seen over 2 million cases of the coronavirus, with a death toll of 114,148 Americans.
