One year ago -- on June 12th, 2019 -- a second reading of the now withdrawn extradition bill was delayed after huge crowds rallied, blocked major roads and attempted to storm the Government Headquarters in Hong Kong.<br /><br />Police used tear gas, rubber bullets and bean bag rounds in clashes with protesters for the first time since protests erupted against the bill, marking the beginning of a months long turmoil which has rocked the city.
