Forest department officials captured a wild elephant after tranquillising the animal in southern India's Tamil Nadu state.<br /><br />The incident took place in Thenkanikottai of Krishnagiri district on June 11.<br /><br />According to the reports, the elephant had killed at least three people in recent times and destroyed several croplands in the village.<br /><br />VIdeo of the scene shows the elephant, known as Kalraja (Stone King), being tranquillised and the officials restraining the animal with ropes to be moved into the transport truck.<br /><br />The elephant was moved into the truck using an excavator.<br /><br />The villagers living in fear had requested the forest department to rescue the elephant from their settlement.<br /><br />The forest officials stated that a radio collar has also been placed on Kalraja to track his further movements.
