This is the dramatic moment a family were rescued from a car that was washed away by floods in the Indonesia today (June 12).<br /><br />The vehicle was hit by a torrent of water from the river following heavy rainfall in South Sulawesi province.<br /><br />Brave residents waded through the muddy current and carried the family, including children, to safety. Nobody was seriously hurt in the accident.<br /><br />"A number of roads and houses were flooded," said a disaster response volunteer in Rumbia.<br /><br />High rainfall battered the Rumbia district of Jeneponto where the accident happened throughout the previous evening and following day.<br /><br />Apart from South Sulawesi, major flooding also occurred in Gorontalo Province. In Gorontalo, a bridge was destroyed by water. Officials were still investigating the damage across the region from the floods to establish if there were any casualties.
