South Carolina state officials say a deadly incident began when Ariane McCree was caught shoplifting at a Walmart on November 23rd, 2020.<br />Newser reports South Carolina police this week released a video of an officer shooting McCree, who was handcuffed at the time.<br />Police said the shooting was justified.<br />The grainy bodycam video, which lacks audio, shows the officer shooting 28-year-old Ariane McCree in a parking lot in Chester, SC.<br />McCree is accused of aiming a gun at officers while handcuffed.<br />However, a state report found that officers fired at least two dozen times. McCree's weapon hadn't been fired once.
