Rare moment tornado sweeps through Oregon

A 'rotating funnel cloud' was spotted swirling through Oregon on Saturday evening (June 13).<br /><br />Local man Mike Bodd captured rare footage of the weather event from Happy Valley.<br /><br />Forecasters said the tornado formed at about 6:30 p.m. east of Happy Valley and caused minor destruction, including toppled trees and damaged roofs.<br /><br />The National Weather Service in Portland later confirmed it was a tornado with a maximum speed of 75 mph.<br /><br />According to local media, the area doesn’t get many tornados but when they do occur, they are often the weakest classification.
