It's the end of the road for a COVID-19 treatment once heralded as a “game changer” by Trump.<br />The FDA has revoked its emergency use authorization of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine.<br />This is after a review of the evidence showed both drugs are likely ineffective against the virus.<br />Initially, doctors were allowed to prescribe it for COVID-19 despite it not being approved for that use.<br />Early studies suggested the drug could affect the coronavirus’s ability to replicate.<br />Now that allowance has been removed and it is no longer a plan of treatment, says Gizmodo.
