This morning, Reuters reports that more than 50 liberal groups have signed a letter to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.<br />They warn Biden he could lose black voters’ support unless he commits to more transformative policing reforms.<br />Biden has drawn renewed attention for his crime agenda following weeks of nationwide protests since George Floyd.<br />Biden has proposed $300-million to a federal community policing program.<br />The letter to Biden argues his plan would only exacerbate the problem of policing.<br />Liberal activists wants Biden to get on board with “defunding the police,”which would redirect police funds to other community needs.<br />Biden has declined to support “defunding the police.”
