️ Installing kitchen cabinets from Ikea. Walking through constructing, hanging and finishing installation of kitchen cupboards/cabinets. Metod and Ringhult white gloss cabinets.

So wanted to add further capacity for storage and had a perfect location in the utility room which was screaming out for kitchen cupboards. The kitchen cupboards and cabinets we had already, were gloss white. I looked around in a few places and concluded with IKEA Metod/Ringhult kitchen cabinets. These were economical as well as robust.

First step was to construct the Metod/Rignult kitchen cupboards. As usual the IKEA instructions were fairly straight forward. I arranged all of the parts which made it a lot easier to construct. I started with the sides and screwed in the cupboard bases. Once constructed it was fairly robust and easy enough for me to hang.

Next step was to hang the bar from IKEA which the kitchen cabinets would hang from. This made installation far easier. That said it was a little bit painful getting a straight line. Thankfully I had a long level but did occasional catch on the boiler pipe work. Next was to drill the holes for the hanging bar. I installed some robust wall plugs from IKEA and long screws. I used as many as I could to ensure it wouldn't fall.

Once bar is installed I hang the IKEA cabinets. Finally installing the doors and handles.

All in all happy with the outcome and have plenty of space to place more junk.

If you found the video useful follow me for similar videos.

Share link: https://dai.ly/k6UrJPR5qmq5RYw76Vh
