38노스 "북한 신포조선소 16m 물체, 소형잠수정일 듯"<br /><br />A U.S. website that monitors North Korea, 38 North, said Friday that an unidentified object at Sinpo South Shipyard could be a new type of midget submarine.<br />The 16-meter long object has been visible from May 27th, but the size makes it unlikely to be a submarine-launched ballistic missile, or SLBM, canister.<br />While the North's new submarine is reportedly close to launching, the source says that there have not been any noticeable activities observed in the country.<br />Much attention has been focussed on North Korea's Sinpo shipyard... as Kim Jong-un's personal plane was detected in the North's airspace...possibly heading to Sinpo.<br />
