Vietnam's City Of Ghosts is home to thousands of huge, coloured tombs.<br /><br />Also commonly known as An Bang Cemetery, the historic site covers around 250 hectares and sits next to a deserted sandy beach, is located in Phu Vang district of Thua Thien Hue province, central Vietnam. <br /><br />Footage from June 2 shows mausoleums that could be mistaken for mansions, regal stone lions, and glittering mosaic dragons.<br /><br />According to local media, around 90 percent of the local villagers have overseas relatives that send money home only to build tombs.<br /><br />Construction began in earnest in 1995, and there are now more than 3000 tombs, averaging at 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD, and range from Buddhist, Christian, Tao, and Muslim.
