Elephant and baby elephant was rescued after it falls into a shallow well in Siliguri, West Bengal.<br /><br />The rescue mission took place on June 21, in the early morning at around 3:00am. <br /><br />The mother and baby were roaming after getting separated from their herd and in the dark fell into the well. <br /><br />Forest officers received a complaint and came to rescue the trapped pair. The area it had fallen into was near army camp near Bengal Safari Park. <br /><br />The mother elephant was returned to the jungle after being rescued and the baby was shifted to Gorumara Reserve where vets checked it for injuries. <br /><br />The baby will be returned to its mother after several days when the mother comes to claim it.
