Vermicelli Fruit Trifle Recipe | Sheer Khurma Trifle | Food Celebrations<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />Instant cake prepared in a microwave<br />Egg 1<br />Sugar 1/3 cup<br />Milk 1 cup<br />Oil 1/3 cup<br />Vanilla essence 1 tsp<br />Flour 1 cup<br />Baking powder 1 tsp<br />Salt 1/4 tsp<br /><br />Vermicelli Pudding Preparation<br />Milk 1 litre<br />Vermicelli 1/3 cup<br />2 tbsp cornflour or custard powder mixed with a little milk<br />Sugar 3 tbsp<br />Warm jam or jelly<br />Melted chocolate for garnishing<br />Strawberries and bananas or any fruit of your choice<br /><br />Method:<br />To prepare the cake, mix the wet ingredients well. Then fold-in the dry ingredients. Microwave for 3-5 minutes, checking in between. If the surface of the cake seems dry prick the cake with a toothpick or knife. If it comes out clean it is ready.<br /><br />Prepare the vermicelli by boiling the milk and adding the vermicelli to it. When the vermicelli is cooked, add the sugar. Then add the cornflour or custard powder mixed with a little milk. Cook till it thickens.<br /><br />Slice the cake and place in a serving bowl. Spread some warm jam or jelly on the cake. Then pour the vermicelli mixture. Decorate with fruit and garnish with melted chocolate.<br />
