中 "중국군 40명 사망은 거짓"…인도와 긴장 완화 합의<br /><br />The Chinese government has vowed to take necessary steps to cool the escalated tensions between India and China following the latest flare up at their disputed border.<br />This is according to China's foreign ministry on Tuesday after a weeks-long standoff sparked by a deadly exchange of gunfire between some 6-hundred soldiers in the western Himalayas.<br />It said the two countries recently held high-level military talks, which the Chinese say shows Beijing's willingness to resolve the issue through dialogue.<br />The ministry also denied reports saying at least 40 Chinese soldiers were killed in the clash.<br />India has not revealed any details about the meeting.<br />The territorial dispute stems back to the 1962 Sino-Indian War, which remains unresolved to this day.<br />
