유명희 "국제공조 복원해 다자무역체제 제 기능토록 하겠다"...WTO 사무총장 출사표<br /><br />South Korea's trade minister Yoo Myung-hee says she's running for the top job at the World Trade Organization.<br />At a press conference this morning, Yoo said she will apply for the director-general post in the coming hours.<br />She vowed to upgrade the agency's agreements and re-establish the WTO's position of resisting global protectionism with other members.<br />She's a renowned trade negotiator of 25 years and the third South Korean to run.<br />The WTO has so far received four other applications from Egypt, Mexico, Nigeria and Moldova.<br />Registration closes July 8th.<br />During the consultation process,... the General Council will narrow the field of candidates until they reach consensus around a single candidate.<br />
