EU May Bar American Travelers <br />Due to Coronavirus Failures The news comes as the E.U. is <br />beginning to reopen its borders after months <br />of shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The nations that comprise the E.U. <br />are negotiating over which travelers <br />to let in and which to keep out<br />as the bloc moves towards opening up. The criteria is based on <br />how well countries outside of the <br />E.U. have responded to the COVID-19 crisis. According to media reports, <br />an early draft list would bar travelers <br />from the U.S., Brazil and Russia. According to Johns Hopkins University, <br />there are more than 2,300,000 cases of <br />coronavirus in the U.S. alone. <br />More than 121,000 people have died. U.S. President Donald Trump <br />banned travelers from most E.U. nations in March. <br />At the time, Europe was the epicenter of the virus. The E.U. is expected to announce <br />its new travel policies sometime this week.
