Fourteen villagers were rescued by emergency crews after floodwater from a dam imprisoned them in their own homes amid heavy rains in Gujarat, western India.<br /><br />The incident took place on June 22 in the small village of Mandvi, Kutch district.<br /><br />According to reports, after the check dam in Bhasar started to overflow, nearby became homes inundated with water, trapping many residents.<br /><br />Footage shows emergency crews using a rope to rescue the trapped villagers, including a young child and an elderly woman.<br /><br />There were no reports of casualties.
