Inspired by Singapore’s move to hold a general election this year, Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan called on Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to do the same.<br /><br />Mohamad, the highest-ranking Umno leader so far in favour of snap polls, said the move was especially necessary because the federal government was not stable.<br /><br />Writing on Facebook, Mohamad said since independence, Malaysia has never seen such instability, politically.
