Rescue efforts were made in north India to save two men caught up in a shocking accident when a truck transporting machinery fell through a collapsing bridge into a gorge below. <br /><br />The incident happened on June 22 around 9:00am at the Bailey Bridge on Munsiyari-Milam road in Pithoragarh in Uttrakhand. <br /><br />According to eyewitness Kushal Kumar: "The bridge is meant for light vehicles but this truck carrying the heavy machine drive onto it, the bridge could not take the pressure and broke." <br /><br />Two men were injured, including the truck driver and a man following the truck on foot. According to local official Anil Shukla, the sub-divisional magistrate of Munsyari : "Both are out of danger and are under treatment at local hospital."
