Germany, France to donate some $700 mil. to WHO one month after Trump cut ties

독일•프랑스, WHO에 수천억원 지원 약속<br /><br />Germany and France have pledged to contribute more money to the World Health Organization in its fight against COVID-19.<br />The announcement comes less than a month after President Trump vowed to stop U.S. funding for what he labeled the "China-centric" WHO.<br />Germany promised to give over 560 million dollars in funding and equipment this year...while emphasizing the need for international cooperation in battling the pandemic.<br />France pledged some 100 million dollars to a WHO research center in Lyon as well as an additional 56 million dollar donation.<br />According to the WHO, Berlin's total contribution during the last budget cycle was some 3-hundred million dollars, while the U.S. provided 15 percent of the WHO's total funding, at almost 9-hundred million dollars.<br />
