국제라이온스 인도주의상에 가천대학교 이길여 총장 선정<br /><br />The Lions Clubs International a social welfare organization with some one-point-four million members worldwide has chosen the President of Gachon University, Lee Gil-ya, as the recipient of its Humanitarian Award.<br />Lee was recognized for her exemplary humanitarian efforts, such as free medical services and the establishment of medical research institutes.<br />Previous recipients include Mother Teresa and former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.<br />Lee says she will use the grant of 250-thousand U.S. dollars to help children with heart-related diseases, and to provide medical treatment for premature infants of migrant workers in South Korea.<br />
