Police officers in central China broke the front windscreen to rescue a motorist trapped in a flooded car.<br /><br />The video, filmed in the city of Yichang in Hubei Province on June 27, shows a woman with only her head above the deep floodwater smash a car window with an umbrella repeatedly to try to save the people inside.<br /><br />In another clip, one police officer is seen standing on the car bonnet to try and open a hole on the front windscreen to let the trapped motorist out after he and another policeman used hammers to smash the windscreen.<br /><br />The motorist was finally rescued by the policemen.<br /><br />The strong rainstorm caused the flash floods in the city, reports said.<br /><br />The video was provided by local media with permission.
