This is the moment two bull elephants lock horns in a short-lived but intense battle for dominance.<br /><br />Edrich, the filmer, told Newsflare: "Establishing dominance is ongoing right through a male elephant's life. It always comes down to age, weight, and size. These battles usually last for a few brief moments, but when both male elephants are equal in size and weight, then it comes down to a longer battle. <br /><br />"Eventually, one will give in and remain submissive to the other one, avoiding the risk of serious injury, which they cannot afford.<br /> <br />"To see these giants in action right in front of you is priceless."<br /><br />The safari footage was recorded in Kruger National Park, South Africa, in August 2017.
