A shop assistant smashed six beer bottles on a knife-wielding robber's head to subdue him in northern China.<br /><br />The CCTV video, shot in the city of Dalian in Liaoning Province on June 17, shows a man attempting to rob a shop by using a knife to threaten a shop assistant.<br /><br />When the robber tried to put the knife onto the assistant's neck, he grabbed the nearby beer bottles and smashed them on the robber's head.<br /><br />After the robber fell onto the floor, the assistant ran out of the shop to call the police.<br /><br />Police has arrested the robber named Liu and he confessed the crime, while the shop assistant‘s action was justified as self-defence.
