Powerful waves batter the coast of southern Thailand as the region was hit with tropical storms. <br /><br />Footage from a beach in Trang province shows some of the damage inflicted on structures along the coastline by the strong winds and heavy rain, which lashed the area overnight. <br /><br />Thailand has moved into its hot, annual rainy season, which sees violent rainstorms throughout the week until temperatures start to cool again towards the end of October.
