美 파우치 "中 돼지독감 주시...즉각 위협은 아냐"<br /><br />Washington's top disease expert, Anthony Fauci, says the U.S. is closely monitoring a new strain of swine flu emerging from China that could have the potential to become a pandemic.<br />During a senate hearing on Tuesday, Fauci said... the virus was "not an immediate threat" but something to "keep an eye on."<br />He added... that while the flu has not yet been shown to pass from human to human, it is exhibiting "reassortment capabilities."<br />A day earlier, Chinese and British scientists found that the new virus called "G4 EA H1N1" shared similar characteristics with the deadly H1N1 virus that triggered a global pandemic in 2009.<br />
