세계 첫 수소모빌리티 전시회 '수소모빌리티+쇼' 7월 1~3일 개최<br /><br />A new growth engine that South Korea is looking at is the hydrogen industry.<br />The government aims to foster hydrogen-related firms and businesses in the coming decades.<br />And to highlight that, South Korea is holding the world's first hydrogen mobility exhibition.<br />Our Kim Jae-hee takes us to the scene.<br />The first hydrogen mobility exhibition in the world kicked off on Wednesday at Kintex in Goyang city, northwest of Seoul.<br />Hosted by the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association, the exhibition aims to promote the hydrogen industry as a future national growth engine.<br />"Over 11 countries around the world and 108 businesses and institutions are taking part in the event. This exhibition is the first of its kind in the world."<br />"Leading companies in the field, including Hyundai Motor Group, Doosan Mobility Innovation, and Kolon Industries, are showcasing their latest hydrogen mobility-related products."<br />"Hyundai became the first automaker in the world to begin mass production of hydrogen-cell vehicles in 2013. With our latest hydrogen-powered truck on display, we hope to see expanded use of hydrogen in the future, like in planes, ships or trains."<br />The three-day exhibition was opened by the Prime Minister, who vowed to foster hydrogen vehicles and other related businesses.<br />"The hydrogen industry is a new growth engine for the South Korean economy. It's also the backbone of the Korean version of the 'green New Deal'. The shift to the hydrogen-led economy from the fossil fuel-led economy is not an option. It's a must."<br />The Prime Minister added the government will foster one thousand hydrogen-related firms by 2040, and expand the commercialization of hydrogen-powered cars, trucks and buses.<br />Kim Jae-hee, Arirang News.<br />
