Desperate residents evacuated their homes after flash hit eastern Thailand following heavy rain.<br /><br />Footage shows locals struggling through the deluge that left their village submerged in knee-deep water in Rayong province. <br /><br />Many of them were taking their belongings out of their houses and waiting for rescue teams to evacuate them to safe shelters.<br /><br />Four men were seen transporting a scooter using a small plastic boat while a child was being carried on a mother's back, walking through a large amount of water.<br /><br />One resident, Mimi, said: "We are still waiting for help from the government, it is quite difficult to move our valuable out, we need boats."<br /><br />Thailand has entered its hot, rainy season, which sees violent rainstorms most days of the week until temperatures start to cool again towards the end of October.
