The crew from Barnet Fire Station in north London rescued a duckling from a sewer drain while a woman held it's siblings in a shopping bag on Thursday (July 2). <br /><br />Footage shows the rescue operation undertaken by the firemen and the moment the infant duck is retrieved from the drain.<br /><br />Subsequent footage shows the lone duckling in a metal bucket where it's reunited with its siblings. <br /><br />They spent almost 30 minutes trying to get the duckling out while local shoppers watched. <br /><br />The woman rounded up the mother duck and eight ducklings, sheltering in a nearby shop. <br /><br />"The firemen took the ducks in their fire engine to the nearby pond where they are likely to be from, sadly I didn't get to see that," the filmer said.
