Children Experiencing Frightening After-Effects From Syndrome Connected To COVID-19

Frightening neurological complications can happen in children who develop a mysterious condition linked to the novel coronavirus COVID-19.<br />A new study says survivors can suffer headaches and muscle weakness, along with visible signs of damage to the brain.<br />According to Gizmodo, the condition is commonly known as multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, or MIS-C.<br />MIS-C is a rare but potentially life-threatening occurrence that arises during or soon after being infected by COVID-19.<br />Of 27 child survivors who were studied, four showed damage to the brain’s corpus callosum.<br />Interestingly, none of the children reported respiratory symptoms, despite all testing positive for the coronavirus or having antibodies to it.
