This is the shocking moment a car bonnet came loose and flew into trailing traffic on a motorway in Thailand.<br /><br />The vehicle was being towed to a garage after breaking down on a busy road in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 26.<br /><br />However, the mechanic appears to have failed to secure the bonnet after the slapdash roadside repair job properly.<br /><br />Dash cam footage from a motorist that was overtaken by the vehicle shows how the large metal sheet came loose and flew towards him, narrowly avoiding an crash.<br /><br />The driver, Tanon, said he was shocked when he saw the bonnet hurtling towards him. <br /><br />He said: "We were lucky enough that the sheet did not smash our front windscreen. If we had been a tiny bit closer it could have been fatal.''
