A caring police chief threatened to jail any officers who destroyed a bee hive at their local station.<br /><br />The creatures sparked concern when they built their home outside the commander's office in Songkhla, southern Thailand.<br /><br />Footage shows the huge bee hive hanging down from the station's third floor balcony with a note stating the officer's order to keep the hive unharmed.<br /><br />However, station commander Police Colonel Saksaeng Meesaeng said he did not want to interfere with the bees' nature.<br /><br />Speaking yesterday (July 2) the police chief said: "The hive has become so much bigger compared to my first day here six months ago and it could have already produced so much honey.<br /><br />"However, I believed we should let the bees live their lives without interfering with them so I order my subordinates here to stay away from it or else they will be punished." <br /><br />''Perhaps they will end up in jail themselves if they harm the bees.''
